CJP's Bengal chapter is, fittingly, the most argumentative per capita. Our Kolkata members will debate the methodology of this leaderboard before accepting their rank. We consider that a feature, not a bug.
Bengali CJP members punch well above their weight on the political knowledge quiz, drawing on a state tradition where every tea stall doubles as a philosophy seminar. West Bengal's history — from the Partition to the Left Front's 34-year rule to the TMC era to everything that came after — has given its citizens more political material than most states see in a century.
