CJP in West Bengal

The Cockroach Presence in West Bengal

West Bengal — the land of Rabindranath, Roshogolla, adda, and political violence that coexists somehow with the deepest intellectual culture in South Asia. CJP's Bengal chapter is, fittingly, the most argumentative per capita. Our Kolkata members will debate the methodology of this leaderboard before accepting their rank. We consider that a feature, not a bug.

Bengali CJP members punch well above their weight on the political knowledge quiz, drawing on a state tradition where every tea stall doubles as a philosophy seminar. West Bengal's history — from the Partition to the Left Front's 34-year rule to the TMC era to everything that came after — has given its citizens more political material than most states see in a century. They remember all of it.

How It Works

How We Decide Who Ranks Where

Three things determine your position. In this exact order.

01

Your Membership Tier

Pradhan, Neta, Sadasya — in that order — always rank above free members, no matter how many quizzes they've played. Pay to front-run the queue.

02

Total Questions Correct

Among members in the same tier, the one who has answered more questions correctly across all their quiz sessions ranks higher. One good day doesn't cut it.

03

Seniority

Same tier, same score? Whoever joined the party earlier wins. Being an early cockroach has its privileges.

Observations

What the Cockroaches Have Noticed About West Bengal

01

West Bengal has two dominant parties, at least nine minor ones, and approximately eight million citizens who believe all of them are intellectually insufficient. Each of these eight million has a column ready on the subject.

02

Kolkata is the only city where a political argument begins at a sweet shop, escalates through a tram journey, and concludes three days later over fish curry — with no resolution, no consensus, and full satisfaction on all sides.

03

Bengal has produced more left-wing intellectuals who drive right-wing traffic patterns than any other state in India. The cockroaches have observed this contradiction for decades and have many thoughts.

FAQ

West Bengal Leaderboard — Common Questions

How do I join the West Bengal CJP leaderboard?

Register on cjpmember.in, set your state to West Bengal. Your profile appears automatically within one hour.

Is CJP a Left party?

CJP is a cockroach party. We are neither Left, Right, nor Centre — we are below, in the walls, surviving all three. Our only ideology is resilience.

How is the West Bengal ranking decided?

Tier first (Pradhan, Neta, Sadasya, free), then best quiz score, then join date. Hourly refresh.

Why is the quiz relevant in Bengal?

Because an informed cockroach is a dangerous cockroach. West Bengal's intellectual tradition should make its CJP members natural quiz toppers. We are watching the data closely.

Can I opt out of the West Bengal leaderboard?

Edit Profile → Location → uncheck "Show me on my state's leaderboard." Effective within one hour.

What are the CJP membership tiers?

CJP has four tiers: Aam Kida (free), Sadasya, Neta, and Pradhan. Paid members rank higher on leaderboards.
