CJP in Maharashtra

The Cockroach Presence in Maharashtra

Maharashtra — the land of Vada Pav, political alliances that shift faster than Mumbai traffic signals, and an identity politics so layered it comes with a manual. CJP found fertile ground here in a state where every chai stall has at least one person who believes they could have handled the cabinet portfolio better. From Vidarbha's cotton fields to Malabar Hill's bungalows, our Maharashtra chapter represents the full, chaotic, magnificent spectrum of this state.

Maharashtra CJP members consistently rank among India's most quiz-savvy cockroaches. Decades of Maratha pride, Dalit assertion, Bollywood influence, and Mumbai's peculiar cosmopolitanism have produced citizens who are genuinely informed — and genuinely opinionated. They do not just take the leaderboard; they take it seriously, which is exactly the right attitude.

How It Works

How We Decide Who Ranks Where

Three things determine your position. In this exact order.

01

Your Membership Tier

Pradhan, Neta, Sadasya — in that order — always rank above free members, no matter how many quizzes they've played. Pay to front-run the queue.

02

Total Questions Correct

Among members in the same tier, the one who has answered more questions correctly across all their quiz sessions ranks higher. One good day doesn't cut it.

03

Seniority

Same tier, same score? Whoever joined the party earlier wins. Being an early cockroach has its privileges.

Observations

What the Cockroaches Have Noticed About Maharashtra

01

Maharashtra has more registered political parties than functioning potholes in Mumbai — and that is a very high bar to clear.

02

The average Mumbaikar can calculate the coalition math of a three-way split government while finishing a Vada Pav without dropping any filling.

03

Pune believes it runs Maharashtra intellectually. Mumbai believes it runs it financially. Nagpur believes it runs it geographically. All three are correct. None agree on anything else.

FAQ

Maharashtra Leaderboard — Common Questions

How do I appear on the Maharashtra CJP leaderboard?

Register on cjpmember.in, create your profile with Maharashtra as your state. Your profile will appear here automatically within one hour. Rank is based on membership tier then total quiz score.

How is the Maharashtra leaderboard ranked?

Tier first — Pradhan at the top, then Neta, Sadasya, and free (Aam Kida). Within the same tier, the member with the higher total quiz score ranks higher. Ties go to the earlier join date.

Does CJP separate Mumbai members from the rest of Maharashtra?

The leaderboard is state-wide — Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, and Aurangabad all compete together. Your city is displayed next to your name so regional pride is fully visible and fully rivalrous.

Is CJP a real political party in Maharashtra?

No. CJP is satirical and not registered with the Election Commission. We do not contest elections, issue whips, or ask for your vote. We only ask that you survive — which, as cockroaches, is our shared strength.

Can I opt out of the Maharashtra leaderboard?

Yes — Edit Profile → Location → uncheck "Show me on my state's leaderboard." Takes effect within one hour.

What are the membership tiers?

CJP has four tiers: Aam Kida (free), Sadasya, Neta, and Pradhan. Paid members rank higher and display a tier badge on your public profile.
