In the olden times , education was practical and logical . The 19th century ruined practical knowledge and imposed textbook knowledge on students . It killed curiosity to study and students started to study just for the sake of exams, the system thought the students what to learn but never thought how to learn and how to apply the knowledge in real life . In earlier times , seats were guaranteed after scoring high marks but since the times have changed the system is taking advantage of students , colleges charge 40 - 60 lakh for a seat even after beings full , corruption has reached education . The worthy is being pushed away and seats are given to the unworthy , if this prevails , soon doctors will not know how to perform the surgery , accountants will not know how to manage finance and engineers will not be able to solve problems . In about 100 yrs , india will be at its lowest because there is no invention , no creation and no job opportunities and we will be the one responsible because we youth could not change the system for our betterment.
The words "of the people , by the people , for the people " by Abraham Lincoln cannot be applied on India . Instead a more appropriate quote will be that the government is created "of the people , by the people , for themselves ".
