An Appeal from Concerned Citizens
Today marks the 18th day of Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike. His dedication, courage, and willingness to make personal sacrifices for what he believes in have inspired many people across the country.
It is especially concerning that, according to public statements, he remains determined to continue the hunger strike. We deeply respect his conviction, but we are equally concerned about his health and well-being. Individuals who dedicate themselves to public service, constructive dialogue, and the welfare of society are invaluable to our nation.
We sincerely hope that meaningful dialogue begins without delay so that his concerns can be addressed through peaceful democratic engagement.
As part of this movement, we respectfully call upon the concerned authorities to engage in constructive discussions. We also reiterate the movement's demands, including accountability from those responsible for the issues being raised, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, as advocated by the organizers.
We encourage citizens to continue supporting the cause through peaceful and lawful democratic means—such as writing respectful letters and emails to elected representatives, participating in awareness campaigns, and sharing verified information.
May wisdom, dialogue, and compassion guide everyone involved. Let us protect both the principles we stand for and the people who dedicate themselves to serving society.
