The current system of multiple educational boards is quietly fracturing our country's promise of equal opportunity. By dividing students across State, Central, and International boards, we have created a multi-tiered education system where the quality of a child's learning is often dictated by their geography and financial background rather than their potential.
This segregation creates three deep inequalities:
1) The Competitive Divide: Central board students are disproportionately advantaged in national entrance exams, as the test syllabi heavily align with their specific boards. This leaves millions of state-board students at a severe, built-in disadvantage.
2) The Curriculum Gap: A fragmented system means some boards teach modern, application-based concepts while others remain stuck with outdated syllabi and rote-learning models.
3) Socio-Economic Segregation: The board system unintentionally divides students by class. Families with means naturally migrate to "premium" central boards, leaving the most vulnerable students behind in under-resourced state systems.
When the starting line is this uneven, education stops being an equalizer and instead reinforces existing inequalities. A unified curriculum is the only way to ensure every student is judged on their merit, not their board.
