Sonam Wangchuk is on the 20th day of his hunger strike. Here, someone is risking his life while protesting for what he believes are our basic rights. We have rights, and we have every right to question when those rights are ignored.Meanwhile, our respected Prime Minister is attending tours, enjoying public events, giving speeches, and even attending celebrations like mango festivals, while a citizen is risking his life on a hunger strike. It is shameful to see such silence. At a moment like this, many of us expect humanity, empathy, and a response from those in power. As the youth of this country, many of us feel there is little care from the government's side about whether ordinary people live or die. That feeling is heartbreaking.Today, it often feels like the system has collapsed under the weight of corruption, rapists, murderers, and injustice, while those who speak uncomfortable truths are sometimes labelled as terrorists or thrown into jail. I don't know where my country is going. If we shut our mouths, no one is going to come and save us. We have to speak for our rights. Don't always believe that someone like Sonam Sir will come and protest on behalf of all of us.I carry the guilt of doing nothing. All I can do is share posts and leave comments. But if that's what I can do, I will do it. And I urge you to do whatever you can for this protest. Don't be spineless like some politicians and some popular celebrities who choose to remain silent.
If they arrest sonam sir.. There will 1000s of sonam wangchunk... Only justice can stop us..
This is our country. We have the right to speak for ourselves. No one can make us shut our mouths.
