Issue: Appointment and Continuation of Lab Assistants and Guest Faculty in Government Engineering Colleges( 38 college) and many diploma engineering college same issue .
Many government engineering colleges recruit lab assistants and guest faculty on temporary or contractual terms but do not provide continuity of employment despite ongoing institutional needs.
This creates job insecurity, financial hardship, and affects the quality of technical education.
We request the government to adopt a transparent and fair policy for recruitment, contract renewal, and regularization wherever permitted under applicable laws and policies.
Timely payment of salaries and equal treatment of contractual staff should be ensured.
Recruitment and continuation decisions should be based on merit, institutional requirements, and transparent procedures, without arbitrary termination.
We urge the government to engage with representatives of affected employees to develop a fair and sustainable employment policy.
