Find out exactly how many upcoming classes you can safely skip.
Safe Classes You Can Skip
25
Keep a small buffer below this for emergencies.
Every student asks this at some point โ "how many classes can I actually skip without getting into trouble?" This calculator answers it properly, using your attendance so far and how many classes are still left in the term, rather than a rough guess.
It works out the absolute maximum total absences allowed for the whole term at your required percentage, subtracts what you have already missed, and tells you exactly how many of the remaining classes you can afford to skip.
Formula
Safe Bunks = Floor[(Attended + Remaining) ร (1 โ Threshold/100)] โ (Total So Far โ Attended)
This assumes you attend every class you don't explicitly plan to skip.
Worked Example

Build in a safety margin
This number is the mathematical maximum โ cutting it that close leaves zero room for a genuine sick day near the end of term. Most students keep a buffer of 3-5 classes below the calculated maximum, just in case.
If you don't know how many classes remain
If you're not sure how many classes are left in the term, use the simpler Attendance Calculator to check your current percentage instead โ this bunk-specific version needs the "classes remaining" number to give an accurate safe-skip count.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many classes can I skip and stay above 75%?
Enter your attended classes, total classes so far, remaining classes this term, and 75 as the threshold โ the calculator works out your exact safe number.
Is this number exact or an estimate?
It is an exact mathematical maximum based on the numbers you enter, assuming you attend every class you don't plan to skip. Leave yourself a small buffer for unexpected absences.
What if I've already missed too many classes?
If the result is negative or zero, you cannot safely miss any more classes and still hit your target โ check the Attendance Shortage Calculator to see exactly how far below target you currently are.
